Staff Changes

During the summer several members of staff decided to move onto other roles within the health care sector. Two members of the reception team left and we have employed three new receptionists - Emma, Kathryn and Barbara, all have previously worked in a GP Surgery but will need time to get up to speed with our Policies and Procedures. FLU Vaccinations 2019

We are expecting half of our OVER 65 year old vaccines at the end of September, the other half middle of October - dates of clinics will be published in the surgery on this website. Due to manufacturing delays our 16-64 year old vaccines are not due in until middle of October  and we will only receive half of our ordered doses.  The other half will arrive at the end of November - dates of clinics will be published in the surgery and on this website.Read more

Due to the bank holiday and limited amount of Doctors working over Christmas the appointments for week commencing 24th and 31st December will be released on the day at 8.15am (morning appointments) and 2pm (afternoon appointments) Appointments for week commencing 7th January 2019 will be added by the Practice Manager on Thurday 27th December and will be available to book after 11.30am. Reception staff in GP surgeries in the Pontypridd to Pontyclun area will soon offer patients a choice of services when they ask for an appointment. The aim is to help callers get to the right service, which can mean they receive advice or treatment more quickly. Patients are being urged not to be offended if the receptionist asks what the problem is when they call the surgery. After 21 years of working at the surgery Karen Lewis, Nurse Practitioner will be retiring on Wednesday 22nd August 2018. To allow time for staff to say their goodbyes we will be closing the surgery doors from 12.45 - 1.45pm.  Telephone lines will remain open for queries etc.Read more
